After 7 long years, The Grouch & Eligh (of Living Legends) has FINALLY released their 3rd album and it has been on repeat since its release last month.
The Grouch & Eligh is one of my favorite inter-crew groups! There newest album - "Say G&E!" - has continued to live up to its standards delivering us with more tight wordplay and intelligent rhymes. The significant difference between their previous albums and their newest is that their lyrics cover an array of serious topics on a higher maturity level with beats inspired by jazz, reggae, classical, blues, and even country and folk. The collaboration features notable guests: Slug of Atmosphere, Pigeon John, Gift Of Gab, Mistah F.A.B., Sage Francis, Mystic, Blu, along with guest beat production from Flying Lotus, super-producer Rick Rock, and Zion I's Amp Live.
Favorite Track & Newest Video: "All In" - "where Grouch & Eligh along with Gift of Gab and Pigeon John rap about standing by the proverbial river and jumping in with both feet and giving everything to the hustle in life and music, without flinching." This is a fine example of when the best of The Bay meets the best of LA. The video is quite hilarious but its lyrics are nothing less than serious and INSPIRING. The hook is so infectious, you'll have it in your system for days.
