Today marks 47 months that the bf and I have been together. That means next month, it'll be 4 years. OMG, 4 YEARS!! I still trip because the longest relationship I've ever been in was about 3. 4 years is hella long and for a long distance one at that!! I have a whole other blog post on long distance relationships but I'll finish my draft on that for another time. Anyway, I'm definitely not complaining. Time with him and us went by quick and it was filled with nothing but rainbows and unicorns. I never wrote about it but we went to Arizona for our anniversary last year and it was AMAZING. I also wrote him a poem and it went a little something like this (ps. if your a hiphop fan like us, you'd understand how this poem was inspired):

Although I don't practice Catechism as often or as strict as I used to, I still participate in a few traditions and ceremonies. I'm still spiritual and religious to an extent. And sometimes practicing is just plain food for my soul. Last year I was able to abstain from alcohol for all 40 days and 40 nights. Yes, all types of alcohol for the entire time! It was damn hard but I actually did it. This year for lent I am giving up something else. In fact, a few things. As always informed by the pope and priests, I'll keep sacrifices to myself. I'll give y'all a recap once lent is done. I pray to have strength and perseverance through this period and I hope to reach my goals. May peace be with me.

Talib Kweli. is my favorite MCs. Yes, my fave. While everyone was falling in love with Mos Def during the drop of Black Star, I was falling in love with Talib. His lyrical flow is deep in content and high in skill. Although his lastest album, "Eardrum" wasn't that much of a hot thing, being a true fan I could not NOT get a hold of his newest album, "Gutter Rainbows." Because "Gutter Rainbows" is under a more underground label, you would not be able to find this album at your local Best Buy. Not even Vegas' Zia Recrods had a copy on its release date. Luckily I was in San Francisco for the weekend and Amoeba did not let me down. Best $15 I've spent in a while. Talib is baaaack!! Don't let your eardrums miss out on this one cuz it's been bangin on mines since I got it.
