Just when his second album, "Late Registration" reached the shelves, there was an announcement that he was going to have a concert in Hawaii. I was stoked. I knew I wanted to see him live, especially because at that time he never came to Hawaii to perform ... EVER! He was one my favorite artist at the time. And his "College Dropout" is still my favorite album to this day. Luckily, "Late Registration" was still just as good. So I couldn't turn down a once in a lifetime experience. OMG, it sure was quite an experience!

I still remember... his violinist, a women dressed in all white, opened up for his show and she blew my mind more than Hurricane Katrina could. Being that I love live instruments woven into beats, she was icing to the cake throughout the entire show. Kanye made the crowd go wild!! His songs "Get 'Em High", "Spaceship", "All Falls Down", "Jesus Walks", "Touch The Sky", and "Golddigger" brought the muthafkn house down!! He also did a lil segment of mixes singing songs by James brown, Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Slum Village, and more. It was fkn great! Hands shaped into diamonds filled the air, people off their seats and dancing, and the lyrics weren't unspoken!
It was one of the best concerts I've seen in Hawaii! Oh how I miss the old Kanye West!
